Word guessing games make it easier for students to understand Arabic lessons and encourage them to understand Arabic vocabulary. Among these games, students can easily understand Arabic vocabulary. The research questions are as follows: (1) how is the application of word guessing games to ninth grade students at MTs Al-Washoya Kertorejo Ngoro Jombang? (2) how is the understanding of Arabic vocabulary in ninth grade students at MTs Al-Washoya Kertorejo Ngoro Jombang? (3) how does the word guessing game affect improving the understanding of Arabic cosowords in ninth grade students at MTs Al-Washoya Kertorejo Ngoro Jombang? This study uses a quantitative research method with an ex post de facto type, where researchers do not have direct control over independent variables because the phenomenon is difficult to manipulate. The data collection methods used by the researcher include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of word guessing games has a positive effect on improving the understanding of Arabic cosowords. The significance value (sig-2 tailed) is 0.001, which means that the value of 0.005 is less than 0.001. It can therefore be concluded that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The R Square value (determination coefficient) is 0.444 indicating that the application of the word guessing game (x) to the Arabic cosoword comprehension variable (y) is 0.444, about 44.4% or rounded to 45%.

This study aims to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of "Taisir wa Takmil Syarah Ibn Aqil" in student learning at STIBA Ar-Rayah Sukabumi. This paper uses a descriptive qualitative approach to describe the contents of the book, especially on teaching materials such as Al Fail, Al Naibul 'An Al Fail, Isytighol Al 'Amil 'An Al Fa'il, and Ta'adi Al Fi'il Wa Luzumuhu. The book "Taisir Wa Takmil Syarah Ibn Aqil" explains nahwu in detail with practical examples, and includes subheadings, questions and discussions, end-of-chapter exercises, and explanations of foreign words. Sulthoni also avoids using hadith as examples, often cites the different opinions of nahwu scholars, and presents the different views of Ibn Malik and Ibn 'Aqil. Although the book contributes significantly to the teaching of nahwu, criticism has been made of its descriptive and deductive approach, which makes learning rigid and less applicable. In addition, there are shortcomings in the explanation of practice questions and the use of hadith examples. This study is expected to provide insights for the improvement of nahwu teaching methods in the future.

This article presents a comprehensive historical overview of the lives of ancient and modern Arab societies, focusing on their nature, customs, and the changes that took place in various aspects of their lives. Through research into historical sources such as Gustave Le Bon's "Hadorotul Arab" and various relevant documentation, this article aims to provide a better understanding of the development of Arab civilization and the changes that occurred in Arab society over time. The review covers the social, economic, cultural and lifestyle aspects of Arab society in the past and present. The result of this study is that in ancient times, Arab societies were characterized by a relatively isolated and conservative nature. They lived in villages and tribes, with strong customs and traditional values. The social and economic aspects of ancient Arab society were influenced by their nomadic life and reliance on trade and livestock. However, as times changed, modern Arab society underwent a significant transformation. Arab cities became centers of economic and cultural activity, with increasingly open lifestyles and adaptation to outside influences. Social, economic and political changes have affected their daily lives, with changes in family structure, gender roles, education and employment. Modern Arab societies are also faced with challenges and changes due to globalization and modernization. They interact with new technologies and have greater access to information. Islam remains a strong cornerstone in the lives of Arab societies, with values such as modesty, justice and social care continuing to be upheld. However, religious interpretations and practices may vary among Arab societies, depending on the historical, cultural and environmental contexts in which they live .

This article aims to analyze the effect of direct method in Arabic language learning for MI students as beginner learners. In general, the Arabic language education system in Indonesia from the past until today there are still many educational institutions, including pesantren, which use similar methods and skills, not developing. In the current era of globalization, Arabic language skills offer many opportunities and are increasingly needed in various fields such as in education, business, and diplomacy. By learning Arabic early on, MI students will be better prepared to face future opportunities and challenges. One method that can be used to learn Arabic is the direct method. The research method used in this article is a library research method with a qualitative description method. The research data were collected from various sources, such as scientific journals, books, articles, and research reports. The results show that the direct method has a positive and significant effect on the Arabic language skills of MI students as beginner learners. This is shown by the students' ability to communicate orally in Arabic, understanding the structure of Arabic, and being motivated to learn Arabic.

This research aims to know the use of Scramble method to improve the comprehension efficiency of Arabic texts among second grade "A" students at the State Islamic High School 5 Pidie. The research method used by the researcher in this research is the procedural research method. The research tools used by the researcher in collecting data are observation, testing and documents. As for the research results, they are based on the procedural research conducted by the researcher to implement the Scramble method to improve the comprehension efficiency of Arabic texts among second grade "A" students. Its application in teaching reading Arabic texts in both terms of gaining the average value of the students' learning results in the first term means 62.4 and requires the application of the second term and the average score is 75.6. The teaching and learning process was effective and the students were active and enthusiastic in education.

This research aims to discuss the teaching of reading skills using the book "Al-Arabiyyah li al-Nasyi’in" among eighth-grade female students at MTs Al-Munawaroh in Dsn. Ngemplak, Ds. Ngudirejo, Kec. Diwek, Jombang. A field approach is used in this study, employing observation and interviews as research tools. Through direct observation, the researcher observed the teaching patterns used, such as structured lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises. Interviews with the students provided data on their perceptions of reading skill instruction using the book. The results of this study indicate that teaching reading skills using the book "Al-Arabiyyah li al-Nasyi’in" at MTs Al-Munawaroh is effective in helping students develop Arabic reading skills. Through structured lectures, students gain an understanding of relevant theories and information. Through group discussions, they can interact with classmates to enhance their understanding and broaden their knowledge. Practical exercises provide opportunities for students to apply their reading skills in real-life contexts. However, the study also identifies several challenges in teaching reading skills, including resource limitations and the need for more effective teaching strategies. While the book "Al-Arabiyyah li al-Nasyi’in" has proven to be effective, there is a need for improvement in utilizing available resources and developing more innovative strategies to enhance reading skill instruction. This research provides a better understanding of teaching reading skills in the context of Islamic education using the book "Al-Arabiyyah li al-Nasyi’in". The findings of this study can contribute to curriculum development and Arabic language instruction in Islamic educational environments, as well as provide insights for educators to enhance student reading instruction.

This research is designed to understand the implementation of the Sorogan method to improve Nahwu comprehension in the 2nd grade Diniyah class at Pondok Pesantren Babussalam Kalibening Mojoagung – Jombang. The problem formulation for this research is: (1) How to use the sorogan method to increase understanding of nahwu at the Babussalam Islamic boarding school Kalibening Mojoagung? (2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of the sorogan method for increasing understanding of nahwu at the Babussalam Kalibening Mojoagung Islamic Boarding School? Here, the researcher employs a qualitative approach, meaning data collection methods through direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings presented by the researcher are: (1) The process of implementing the Sorogan method to improve Nahwu comprehension in the 2nd grade Diniyah class at Pondok Pesantren Babussalam Kalibening Mojoagung – Jombang begins with the teacher providing the material and explaining the related chapter. After explaining the material, the teacher provides examples related to the material being studied. Then, the teacher asks questions to the students and selects students to answer these questions to test whether the students understand the taught material. After that, the students read and interpret the book that has no meaning (empty) prepared by the teacher. It ends with the teacher summarizing and evaluating the material taught on that day. (2) The application of the Sorogan method to improve Nahwu comprehension in the 2nd grade Diniyah class at Pondok Pesantren Babussalam Kalibening Mojoagung – Jombang has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage of the Sorogan method is that it is easier for students to understand the position and meaning in Nahwu. Meanwhile, the disadvantage of the Sorogan method is that in translating or interpreting books that have no meaning, students often get confused with the same words or sentences.

This research aims to find out the desire to learn among students in the Arabic language subject in the Teungku Syik Dayah Cot Tiro secondary school, and to find out the academic achievement of students in the Arabic language subject in the Teungku Syik Dayah Cot Tiro secondary school, and to know the relationship between desire and academic achievement among students in the Arabic language subject at Teungku Syik Dayah cot Tiro High School. The research method that the researcher uses in completing this research is the correlational research method and using the Produc moment statistical system. There are three methods of collecting data in this research: observation, interview, and questionnaire. The results of the research indicated that the desire of students to learn the Arabic language subject in the Teungku Syik Dayah Cot Tiro High School is average with the adjusted value of 1.8, and that the academic achievement of the students in the Arabic language subject in the Teungku Syik Dayah Cot Tiro Secondary School is average with the adjusted value of 77.3, and that There is a significant relationship between the desire to learn the Arabic language among students at Teungku Syik Dayah Cot Tiro High School and its impact on academic achievement among students at Teungku Syik Dayah Cot Tiro Secondary School. This case is based on the result of the r calculation in this research, which is 0.71, more than the result of rt, 0.561.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of scrabble media to improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in grade 10 at MA Al-Washoya. This research method uses quantitative and descriptive approaches to explore how the application of scrabble media in improving the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in MA "Al-Wahoya" Ngoro, Jombang. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a type of early-final test in one group (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The results of the study showed that there was a difference in the results of Arabic vocabulary mastery based on tests conducted before and after being treated in the form of scrabble media. In the initial test, an average score of 55.63 was obtained and then after being treated in the form of scrabble media and tested again, an average nla of 66.25 was obtained. So that the use of scrabble media is effectively used to improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in grade 10 students of MA al-washoya ngoro jombang in 2023/2024.

Student Progress Tracing of Arabic Learning: A Qualitative Investigation of Speaking Skills Formative Evaluation in Islamic Elementary School

Formative evaluation of Arabic language proficiency plays a crucial role in identifying students' progress in the learning process, particularly in speaking skills or maharatul kalam. The aim of this study is to explore the implementation of formative evaluation on Arabic speaking skills in the third-grade class of SDIT Harapan Bunda Manado. The research adopts a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews with Arabic language teachers and observations in three different classes. The findings indicate that the types of speaking skills tests implemented in this school align with the principles of Arabic language teaching for beginners. The formative evaluation method of maharatul kalam includes reading texts aloud and identifying vocabulary words presented by the teacher. This evaluation is conducted formatively throughout the learning process. Both evaluation methods aim to measure students' reading, pronunciation, and vocabulary mastery as a foundation for developing more complex Arabic language skills in subsequent levels. Interactive evaluation, utilizing varied technologies and approaches, enables teachers to provide constructive feedback and customize learning according to individual student needs.

Developing speaking skills is an important aspect of education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Qosimy Jombang. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing sam’iyyah syafawiyah methods in improving students' speaking skills at the madrasah. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a classroom action research design. The research participants were sixth grade students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Qosimy Jombang. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The results showed that the application of sam’iyyah syafawiyah methods improved students' speaking skills. Students show improvements in pronunciation, comprehension, and expression when speaking. They also show increased confidence in communicating. The implication of this research is the importance of applying sam’iyyah syafawiyah methods in teaching to improve students' speaking skills at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Qosimy Jombang.
