In his work Rhetorica, Aristotle emphasizes three main aspects of persuasion, namely ethos (the credibility of the speaker), pathos (emotional appeal), and logos (the power of logic and argumentation). These three concepts have significant relevance in the context of teaching mahārah kalām (speaking skills) in higher education, especially in Arabic language learning. Mahārah kalām requires not only the ability to express words linguistically correctly, but also the skills to construct arguments, convince audiences, and adapt speaking styles to social and academic contexts. Through the integration of Aristotle's rhetorical principles, students can be trained to develop more comprehensive communication skills, including clarity of ideas, logical strength, and effective delivery. This study confirms that the teaching of mahārah kalām in higher education can be improved by adapting classical rhetoric theory as a pedagogical foundation that complements modern learning methods. Thus, Aristotle's thinking is not only relevant in Western philosophical tradition, but can also make a real contribution to the development of critical, logical, and persuasive Arabic language skills.
AHMAD NIHAMI MUNAWIR, KAMAL YUSUF Copyright (c) 2026 AHMAD NIHAMI MUNAWIR, KAMAL YUSUF https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.stitalhilalsigli.ac.id/index.php/al-ihda/article/view/732 Sat, 10 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Pengembangan Media Origami Mufrodat Berbasis Model Team Games Tournament (TGT) untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Bahasa Arab Siswa Kelas VI MI Matholi’ul Falah Nambi https://journal.stitalhilalsigli.ac.id/index.php/al-ihda/article/view/735
The purpose of this study is to formulate Origami Mufrodat learning materials incorporating the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model to strengthen students' drive for Arabic language acquisition in grade VI at MI Matholi'ul Falah Nambi. This study utilized a Research and Development (R&D) methodology based on the ADDIE framework, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The data collection process utilized observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The evidence suggests that the formulated Origami Mufrodat media is valid, practical, and effective. The effectiveness analysis obtained 87%, labeled as very effective, whereas the feasibility testing through teachers' and students' feedback obtained 86%, labeled as very feasible. The integration of origami-based media with the TGT model successfully created an interactive, enjoyable, and collaborative learning environment that enhanced students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Therefore, Origami Mufrodat media incorporating the TGT model constitutes a fitting alternative learning approach for Arabic language pedagogy at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah educational level.
The basis of writing skills is knowing neuroscience. Because sharaf is the main element for knowing the condition of sentences in Arabic in terms of i'rab and bina, namely the arrangement pattern. Sharaf has a very important role in improving students' ability to write Arabic. The aim of learning sharaf is to enable students to write and understand the position of sentences correctly and also to provide linguistic richness in what they gain from vocabulary, structure and sentence patterns through texts used in lesson materials, applications and exercises. The problem faced by students at the Syamsudhdhuha Islamic boarding school is their lack of ability to read Arabic texts in sentences related to sharaf. The aim of the research is to determine students' abilities in applying sharaf knowledge to Arabic texts and to find out the methods used by teachers in teaching sharaf. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. The population in this study were all aliyah students. The samples taken were all third grade aliyah students. The research tools used by researchers are direct observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the research were that private madrasah aliyah students at the Syamsudhdhuha Islamic boarding school were less able to apply sharaf in Arabic texts, and the methods used by teachers in teaching sharaf were still traditional methods.
This study aims to develop an interactive istima’ learning model based on active learning principles for beginner-level university students of Arabic. Listening skills are fundamental in Arabic language acquisition, yet many first-year students face difficulties due to teacher-centered instruction, limited interaction, and minimal exposure to authentic listening activities. This research employed a research and development design with a qualitative approach. The subjects were first-year students of the Arabic Language Education program at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Al-Hilal Sigli. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively to identify learning needs, model characteristics, and implementation outcomes. The findings indicate that the proposed model emphasizes student engagement, collaborative activities, contextual listening materials, and continuous feedback, which significantly enhance students’ motivation and listening comprehension. The interactive active learning-based istima’ model encourages learners to actively process auditory input, respond critically, and participate meaningfully in classroom interaction. The study concludes that this model is effective in improving beginner students’ listening skills and can serve as an alternative instructional framework for Arabic listening courses at the university level.
his study aims to investigate students' responses to the use of animated images in teaching Arabic dialogue and to evaluate the effectiveness of using animated images in developing students' ability to engage in Arabic dialogue. The research method employed by the researcher is the action research method. The data collection methods used in this research include observation, questionnaires, tests, and documents. The research findings indicate that students have a great interest in learning conversation, and they showed enthusiasm and significant engagement during the learning process. Animated images help students to better understand educational materials. They also encourage active participation in small groups, which increases their interaction and discussions about the material. This teamwork fosters the exchange of ideas and learning strategies, making the learning process enjoyable rather than boring. Furthermore, the presence of healthy competition in the animated images motivates students to participate and achieve good results. The use of animated images enhances students' ability to engage in Arabic dialogue, and the education is effective based on the test result, where the calculated T-value is 2.115, which is greater than the table T-value of 2.007 at a degree of freedom (df 51) and a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the researcher concludes that the application of animated images is an effective and impactful tool in improving students' performance in mastering Arabic dialogue.
Miswarul Abdi Aziz Copyright (c) 2026 Miswarul Abdi Aziz https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.stitalhilalsigli.ac.id/index.php/al-ihda/article/view/734 Sat, 10 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0000
