Education plays a strategic role in shaping the character of a nation. However, the era of globalization presents challenges such as moral degradation and the erosion of national values, making the strengthening of character education an urgent necessity. The government has responded by implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes flexible learning and character development through the Pancasila Student Profile. This article examines the relevance of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan’s educational thought in reinforcing character education within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum using a library research method. The findings indicate that Ahmad Dahlan’s concept—emphasizing the integration of faith, knowledge, action, and morality—aligns with the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile and supports the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). Therefore, his educational philosophy remains relevant as a foundation for strengthening character education in Indonesia’s contemporary education system
Vionita

Language development is a crucial aspect of the golden age of children aged 3–5 who are heavily influenced by environmental interactions. However, the current trend in device usage raises concerns regarding screen time duration that exceeds the recommendation limit. This research aims to describe language development in children with excessive screen time duration through the perspective of teachers at Aisyiyah Kindergarten 02 Pasurenan. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through structured interviews with class teachers and direct observation of the learning process. Research results show significant differences in communication patterns; children with high screen time intensity tend to be more silent, insulative, and only respond to one word. There was also an ecolalia phenomenon in which children imitate foreign terms from videos without understanding their meaning, as well as a decrease in focus when interacting directly. This study concluded that collaboration between teachers and parents in limiting screen duration as well as increasing interactive activities such as role-playing is essential to optimizing children's expressive and receptive language abilities.
Anisa TriyaniVava Iman Agus Faisal

Humanistic and constructivist learning theories are two essential approaches in educational psychology that remain relevant in addressing contemporary educational challenges. This article aims to examine the relevance of both theories within the context of modern education, which emphasizes holistic, active, and meaningful learner development. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing various academic sources, including books, national and international journals, and scholarly documents related to humanistic theory, constructivist theory, and contemporary educational psychology. The findings indicate that humanistic learning theory highlights the importance of affective aspects, learner autonomy, self-actualization, and positive relationships between teachers and learners. Meanwhile, constructivist theory positions learners as active agents who construct knowledge through experience, social interaction, and cultural contexts. In contemporary educational practice, these two theories are complementary and highly relevant to learner-centered learning, collaborative learning, and the development of 21st-century skills. Therefore, the integration of humanistic and constructivist learning theories contributes significantly to strengthening adaptive, humanistic, and contextual practices in educational psychology.
Adhela Falaby RahmanDwi Cahyo Setyono

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are currently challenged by the increasing cultural diversity among students, which may create social gaps if not managed effectively. This condition requires an educational approach that promotes respect for differences within the framework of Islamic values. This study employs a qualitative library research method to examine the implementation of multicultural education in strengthening inclusive character among students in traditional pesantren in Indonesia. Data were collected through systematic analysis of relevant literature, including scholarly books, journal articles, and official documents related to pesantren educational models and multiculturalism. The findings reveal that values such as tolerance, cooperation, and respect for cultural identity can be internalized through pesantren cultural practices that emphasize collective decision-making, shared dormitory life, and appreciation of students’ diverse regional backgrounds. The study concludes that multicultural education rooted in pesantren culture contributes significantly to the development of inclusive character by promoting Islamic values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin. The implications highlight the importance of developing multicultural education models that are adaptive to the dynamics of pluralism in Islamic education in Indonesia.
Muhammad Fadli Al FariziAdi Prasetyo

The Haflah Khotmil Qur’an (HKQ) at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Al Asy’ariyyah in Wonosobo embodies a religious custom blending Islamic principles, local traditions, and community care. This research describes the haflah's execution and uncovers its religious, social, and cultural significance. Adopting a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered via observation, interviews, and documentation, with informants chosen through purposive and snowball sampling. Results indicate HKQ extends beyond celebrating students' Qur’an memorization achievements, acting as a platform for Islamic outreach and fostering ties between the pesantren and local society. Diverse events—including santri contests, napak tilas treks, grave visits, Hamalatul Qur’an, communal recitations, blood drives, and mass circumcisions—highlight the fusion of spiritual piety and social commitment. This practice is vital for upholding moderate Islam, bolstering students' faith identity, and preserving indigenous values against modernization pressures
Lia AmaliaAdi Prasetyo

https://journal.stitalhilalsigli.ac.id/index.php/eksperimental/article/view/727

This study aims to systematically examine learning strategies of Islamic Religious Education based on religious moderation using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR method was employed to identify, evaluate, and synthesize relevant findings from national and international scholarly articles. The results indicate that religious moderation-based IRE learning strategies are implemented through the integration of moderation values into curricula and learning materials, the application of dialogical and participatory learning methods, strengthening teachers’ roles as role models, and creating supportive educational environments. Learning oriented toward religious moderation values contributes significantly to shaping students’ tolerant character and their ability to live harmoniously in diversity. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited teacher understanding, insufficient policy support, and variations in socio-cultural contexts across educational institutions. Therefore, strengthening teacher competence, developing integrative curricula, and providing sustainable policy support are essential to ensure the effective implementation of religious moderation-based Islamic Religious Education
A’zizah

2025-12-312025-12-31142THE EFFECT OF COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING ON STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILLS: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW
https://journal.stitalhilalsigli.ac.id/index.php/eksperimental/article/view/725

Speaking skill is a fundamental component of English language proficiency, particularly in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts where opportunities for authentic communication are limited. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) has been widely promoted as an instructional approach that emphasizes meaningful communication, active interaction, and real-life language use. Although CLT has been extensively implemented in speaking instruction, empirical findings regarding its effectiveness remain fragmented and vary across research designs, assessment methods, and learning contexts. Therefore, this study aims to systematically review and synthesize existing research on the effect of Communicative Language Teaching on students’ speaking skills. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines. The reviewed articles were selected from reputable national and international journals published between 2012 and 2025 using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings reveal that CLT generally has a positive and significant impact on students’ speaking skills, including fluency, vocabulary development, pronunciation, grammatical accuracy, and interactive competence. However, the review also identifies several methodological limitations, such as small sample sizes, short intervention durations, and the frequent reliance on perception-based instruments rather than performance-based speaking assessments. These findings highlight the need for more rigorous experimental and longitudinal studies to strengthen the empirical evidence of CLT effectiveness and to support evidence-based practices in EFL speaking instruction
Nurul KamaliahRahmati

2025-12-312025-12-31142A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW ON ASSESSMENT PRACTICES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING
https://journal.stitalhilalsigli.ac.id/index.php/eksperimental/article/view/726

This research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) that aims to map, analyze, and synthesize empirical findings regarding assessment practices in English Language Teaching (ELT). Through a systematic analysis of 29 relevant studies, this review reveals a significant gap between theoretical discourse and classroom implementation. On one hand, literature advocates for authentic and formative assessment; on the other, empirical evidence shows the enduring dominance of traditional and summative methods, particularly for assessing writing and grammar. Key findings identify Teacher Assessment Literacy as the primary determining factor, where teachers' practices are more often shaped by personal experience and intuition than by formal training. Furthermore, assessment effectiveness is highly dependent on the specific context, including curriculum policies and institutional culture. Based on this synthesis, the review concludes that enhancing assessment quality in ELT requires a systemic approach that prioritizes building teacher capacity through training focused on practical application (TALiP) and policies aligned with classroom realities
RahmatiNurul Kamaliah

Early childhood emotional development is a fundamental aspect in shaping an individual's personality and psychosocial health in later life. Early childhood, known as the golden age, is a critical period because it is during this phase that the basic structure of emotions, social attitudes, and personality begins to form. This article aims to examine in depth the role of parents in managing emotions in early childhood based on Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development. The article was written using a literature study method by reviewing developmental psychology books, scientific journals, and relevant research results. The results of the study indicate that a child's success in resolving psychosocial crises in early life particularly the stages of trust, autonomy, and initiative is greatly influenced by the quality of parental care. Warm, responsive, and consistent parenting plays a vital role in helping children recognize, express, and manage emotions in a healthy manner. Thus, the role of parents is not limited to meeting a child's physical needs but also includes ongoing emotional support as a foundation for a child's psychosocial development.
Riska MeilanaNovita Rimandhani
