Abstract

Based on the researchers' observations, the main purpose of teaching language lessons is for students to master Arabic grammar, so that when students read the Qur'an, Hadith or other books, they can understand it without having to focus on translation. The purpose of the study was: to find out nahwu learning in mubtada and khabar chapters using the book al jurūmīyah for student ibtida' at the al itqon Islamic boarding school Bendungrejo Jogoroto Jombang. And to find out the advantages and disadvantages of learning nahwu in the chapter of mubtada and khabar by using the book of al jurūmīyah for student ibtida' at the Islamic boarding school al itqon Bendungrejo Jogoroto Jombang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research by approaching qualitative research, in this case researchers collect meaningful data: 0bservatins, interview, and documentations. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1) The subjects taught are classic books written by scholars using classical techniques and methods, namely the Bandongan, Sorogan, Qowaid wa Tarjamah methods, with techniques that use grammatical symbols. 2) Advantages by studying al jurumiyyah books students easily understand Arabic in grammar magazines, sentence structure, especially in beginner and news subjects. But the drawback is that how to teach it is still with classical methods that will saturate students.
