PEMANFAATAN MULTIMEDIA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of multimedia in increasing students' learning motivation in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at SMP Negeri 3 Simeulue Timur. This study used a qualitative descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of students in 7^th, 8^th, 9^th grades with a total of 69 students and 14 teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Simeulue Timur. The teacher responsible for the Islamic Education (PAI) subject served as the primary informant. Research data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the use of multimedia in PAI instruction has not yet been effective in boosting student learning motivation. This is caused by a lack of motivation from teachers, a lack of understanding and skills of students in using multimedia devices, and problems with facilities at school. However, if these factors can be overcome, then the use of multimedia devices will increase students' learning motivation. Therefore, guidance is needed for teachers and students, as well as improvements to facilities in schools so that the use of multimedia devices can be optimal. By using multimedia devices, it is hoped that students can learn more interactively and motivated, and help teachers in presenting learning materials more clearly and easily understood by students.
